`Recently, Ukrainian armed drones appeared in the area of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. In particular, raids were recorded today in the area of \u200b\u200bcargo ports and nitrogen stations

According to the announcement, Ukrainian military drones attacked the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant but did not cause damage to the plant’s important infrastructure.

`Once again, we declare that attacking power plants or infrastructure is unacceptable. This could cause catastrophic consequences, affecting the safe operation of power plants.`

An air strike warning was issued in the Zaporizhia area controlled by Ukraine on the afternoon of April 5.

Renat Karchaa, adviser to the CEO of Russia’s state nuclear power corporation Rosenergoatom, told Channel One television that Ukraine continued its efforts to cause a nuclear disaster by attacking the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Zaporizhia nuclear power plant officials said on April 4 that the backup power line supplying this facility had been disconnected and efforts were underway to determine the cause.

Mr. Karchaa accused the Ukrainian army of continuously shelling this facility.

`They themselves tried to cause a nuclear disaster and continue these efforts until today… Fake news like this is also terrorism, it is information terrorism. The goal of these terrorist actions

The six reactors at the Zaporizhia plant are controlled by Russia and located near the front lines in Ukraine.

Russia and Ukraine have so far accused each other of intending to attack the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Moscow affirmed that the sole purpose of Russia’s takeover of the Zaporizhia plant is to `prevent Ukrainian nationalist forces and foreign mercenaries from taking advantage of the current situation in Ukraine to carry out a nuclear provocation.`

The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant supplies electricity to a large area of Ukraine as well as sells electricity to many neighboring countries.

The United Nations warns that attacks on nuclear power plants in Ukraine risk causing a serious disaster, affecting a large area of Europe.

The risk of an attack on a nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine raises concerns about the possibility of a serious incident in an area just 500km from Chernobyl.
